Promoting Physical Activity – the Hamburg Declaration

During the virtual Sports, Medicine and Health Summit 2021, which was successfully organised by CPO in April, a public signal to promote physical activity was set when numerous organizations signed the "Hamburg Declaration". On the one hand, the work includes the commitment of renowned organisations, professional societies and sports associations - including the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the World Federation of Sports Physicians (FIMS) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) – who plan on undertaking concrete measures and efforts to combat physical inactivity and thus form the basis of a joint alliance. On the other hand, the "Hamburg Declaration" calls on national and international politics to join this global alliance and to commit to concrete structural measures.
