Berlin Global shows
“We are one Tribe”
A very exceptional permanent exhibition
Yesterday, today, tomorrow: Much of what happens in Berlin has an impact on the world. And much of what happens in the world has an impact on Berlin. BERLIN GLOBAL shows how the city and its people are connected to the world. On the first floor of the Humboldt Forum (a museum dedicated to human history, art and culture, located in the Berlin Palace in the historic centre of Berlin), the exhibition will show Berlin as part of a diversely networked world. It tells the story of how the city, its people and the events emanating from it have changed the world and how global events affect Berlin - then and now.
The BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition at the Humboldt Forum explores Berlin's multifaceted connections with the world. The concept highlights humanity's shared experiences and interconnectedness, deeply rooted in Berlin's history as a global crossroads.
Spanning 4,000 square meters, the exhibition showcases how Berlin has influenced and been influenced by global events, embodying the idea that despite our differences, we are all part of one global community.
The exhibition is divided into thematic rooms, each focusing on a unique aspect of Berlin's identity. "Thinking the World" greets visitors with an expansive mural that reflects the shared human drive to understand and shape our interconnected existence.

The "Revolution" section features immersive installations like the "Wheel of History," highlighting moments of change and upheaval in Berlin's past, while "Free Space" celebrates the city's creative and free-spirited club culture through artifacts such as the door from the legendary Tresor techno club. "Entertainment" takes visitors through a century of Berlin's music, film, and theater, showcasing how storytelling and art unite us as one tribe.

"War" examines the impact of conflicts on Berlin, offering insights into the shared human cost of war and the universal desire for peace.
